The Hmar community in Karbi Anglong (Assam) celebrated Sikpuiruoi, a festival of abundance/harvest, at Diphu on December 5, 2016. The event was attended by well-known artistes and community leaders from Assam, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya and other states, including Delhi.

The Joint Sikpuiruoi 2016, the first of its kind was organised by the Karbi Anglong Hmar Association and the Hmar Youth Association.
